baluster - also called a spindle or stair stick' is used to support a staircase railing.

balustrade - the railing that is supported by the baluster

banquette – a long, built-in or freestanding upholstered seat or bench along a wall. 

bargeboard - elaborately carved trim used around the edge of gables, most commonly found on gothic revival homes.

bevel glass- plate glass that has its perimeter ground and polished at an angle.

bleed - when colour penetrates through another coat of paint

brocade - rich, shuttle-woven cloth similar to embroidery, with a raised pattern.
